WPH #527: How To BULLY As The CHIP LEADER!!!!

Being at the final table of a $25,000 buy-in PokerGO tournament in Las Vegas is likely a dream situation for every poker player. PokerCoaching coach and founder Jonathan Little found himself in that exact situation with $450,000 awaiting the eventual winner! Knowing when to pressure your opponent is crucial to pick up chips throughout the final table and here Jonathan Little demonstrates exactly how to do just that! .

When you are the biggest stack at a final table, you often want to use frequent aggression with smaller bet sizes. This allows you to build the pot to put your opponent all-in by the river. It also forces a competent opponent to overfold, because they will know that they are likely going to be facing bets on multiple streets.

Jonathan Little ‘FieryJustice’, ’Jcardshark’, ‘JonLittle’ is in the top 150 on the all time money list with over $8,800,000 in total live earnings. He has 2 World Poker Tour (WPT) titles, both of which were for over $1,000,000. He won the WPT Season VI (2007-2008) Player of the Year award. Jonathan is a 38 year old professional poker player from the U.S.A. He is also the founder of PokerCoaching.com.

Justin Zaki is a professional poker player from the U.S.A. with over $5,300,000 in live tournament earnings, putting him in the top 330 on the all time money list.

The 2024 PokerGo Cup was a series of eight No-Limit Hold’em poker tournaments with buy-ins ranging from $10,000 – $25,000 played from January 25 to February 3, 2024 and held inside the PokerGO Studio at ARIA Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada.

$25,000 – 2024 PokerGo Cup Event #8 – Results

1st: Jonathan Little U.S.A – $453,750 2nd: Justin Zaki – U.S.A – $288,750 3rd: Justin Saliba ‘Jsaliba2’ ‘JustGTO’ – U.S.A – $192,500 4th: John Riordan – U.S.A – $137,500 5th: Seth Davies – U.S.A – $110,000

🔍 Preflop: In a blind-on-blind encounter, Justin Zaki limps in from the small blind with A7o. Chip leader Jonathan Little checks from the big blind with 84o and they both head to the flop.

💸 Flop – 5h 3s 3c: Zaki’s ace-high is still best on the five-high flop. He checks with two overcards and a backdoor straight draw. Little fires out a bet of 60,000 with eight-high and a backdoor straight draw. Zaki calls and they continue to the turn.

💣 Turn – 9d: The 9 of diamonds on the turn completes the badugi board. Zaki checks again with the best hand. Little doesn’t pick up any backdoor draws but decides to check it back.

🌊 River – Qc: The Q of clubs doesn’t improve either player’s hand. Zaki checks, surely hoping that he can get to showdown cheaply. Jonathan knows his eight-high will be second best if he checks behind, so he decides to bluff and fires out a bet of 150,000 for half-pot. Zaki is an experienced poker player and knows that Little, as the chip leader, can apply a lot of Independent Chip Model (ICM) pressure on him at this final table. But can he find the correct call with just ace-high? Stay around to the end of this poker video to find out!

WPH #526: Savage SLOWROLL Leaves Him DISGUSTED!

Dan Cates also known as Jungleman has proven himself as one of the most formidable online poker players in the world. However, he is known to grace the live tables and in this hand he found himself in the cash game streets on the Lodge Card Club stream in Texas. He is battling against stream regular and action player Taras. Jungleman finds himself in a bit of a predicament after he value bets an overpair on the river only for Taras to turn over his cards and show the winning hand whilst he contemplates his decision. Will Cates be able to talk him into folding the winning hand?

On the turn, when the board is extremely connected and wet, you should look to use large bet sizes such as a pot sized bet or an overbet. A lot of rivers will change the board texture which may not allow you to bet again with hands that were previously strong value hands. Charge your opponents more for them to draw to their straight or flush.

Dan Cates also known as Jungleman and w00ki3z is a 33 year old from the USA and is regarded by many as one of the best poker players in the world both online and live. He has played in all the high stakes poker cash games around the world for many years. He has over $12,000,000 in live tournament earnings, putting him in the top 80 on the all time money list. He famously won the World Series Of Poker (WSOP) $50,000 Players Championships (regarded as one of the hardest poker tournaments to win) in 2021 and again in 2022. Since 2012, Cates has played in over 68 live cash game streams and is down over $1,450,000.

Taras is an amateur poker player living in Texas. He has been a regular at The Lodge for a long time and will play stakes from $5/$10 up to $400/$800. He is known to be very talkative at the table. Since 2022, Taras has played in over 20 live cash game streams and is up over $800,000.

In early 2022, poker professionals Doug Polk, Brad Owen, and Andrew Neeme joined forces to acquire a controlling stake in The Lodge Poker Club & Card Room, which happens to be the largest poker establishment in Austin, Texas. This exclusive poker club, accessible only to its members, boasts an impressive array of amenities, including over 80 poker tables of cash games and tournaments, operating around-the-clock. Additionally, The Lodge provides an inviting ambiance with 40 large-screen TVs, allowing poker club members to enjoy sports entertainment while playing poker or while relaxing in the cozy waiting area. The live poker stream includes commentary from Skull Mike and Slick Rick, who have been long-time regulars at The Lodge. They provide viewers with strategic insights, complemented by a perfect blend of humor.

The Lodge Live Stream has had a variety of different poker players coming to play on stream, these include; Doug Polk ‘WCGRider’, Alex Foxen, Dan Cates ‘Jungleman’, Ben Lamb, Bill Perkins, Brad Owen, Andrew Neeme, and Nik Airball.

🔍 Preflop: With the $200 straddle on, Viper limps in with AKo from under the gun +2. Dan Cates raises to $1,000 from the button with pocket jacks. After the small blind folds, Taras decides to 3-bet to $3,400 with 94 of diamonds. Viper calls with his big slick, and Jungleman calls with the jiggities.

💸 Flop – Th 9h 9c: Taras out flops his opponents with trip nines. He fires a continuation bet of $4,500. Viper folds ace king, but Jungleman sticks around with his overpair and they go to the turn heads up.

💣 Turn – 6c: The 6 of clubs on the turn introduces a second flush draw and brings in a possible straight. Taras fires a second barrel of $15,000. Jungleman calls again and they head to the river.

🌊 River – 5c: The backdoor flush comes in on the 5 of clubs river. Taras slows down and checks with his trip nines. Jungleman attempts to extract some value with his overpair to the board. He bets $21,500 for just under half-pot. Taras doesn’t call straight away; instead, he turns his cards over to try and get a read from the online poker legend. Jungleman then starts to talk to Taras in an attempt to get him to lay down the best hand. But will it work? Stay tuned to the end of this video to find out.

WPH #525: Doug Polk NEEDLES Tom Dwan!!!!!!!

Poker players all around the world used to watch Tom Dwan battle it out online at the nosebleed stakes back in the Full Tilt Poker era. Now, on the Hustler Casino Live stream, Dwan is playing against the former No. 1 heads-up player on the planet, Doug Polk. Dwan finds himself on the river with a bluff catcher, facing a great bet size from Polk. Will Polk’s speech play help him get his bluff through?

When you are playing against strong players who will often follow Game Theory Optimal (GTO) strategies, it is important to remember that these players will be able to find bluffs in almost all situations. Tom Dwan also known as durrrr from his online days is a 36 year old American professional poker player. He is a favorite poker player for many around the world as they would watch him battle in the highest stakes cash games on Full Tilt Poker before poker’s Black Friday hit & he is known for his fearless style and crazy bluffs. Hustler Casino Live is a full-scale, high-value poker production. Close to a million dollars was spent transforming the casino’s high-limit poker room, the Crystal Room, into the set of this new state-of-the-art live poker show. Hustler Casino Live looks more like coverage of a TV broadcast sporting event and appeals to those beyond the poker community. This was from the first day of the 2024 edition of the highly anticipated Million Dollar Game, which had a $1,000,000 minimum buy-in. The players included: Doug Polk, Tom Dwan, Alan Keating, Santhosh Suvarna, Peter, Hook, Brandon Steven, Stanley, Rahul, Steve, Texas Mike, Rahul, and a mysterious guest called Thomas.

💸 Flop – As Tc 5d: Dwan flops second pair and a backdoor straight draw to Broadway. He checks, and Doug decides to check back after flopping only a backdoor straight draw and backdoor flush draw.

💣 Turn – Ac: The board-pairing ace of clubs on the turn improves Dwan to two pair. He checks for the second time, and Doug fires out a delayed continuation bet of $17,000 with no pair and no draw. Dwan calls with the best hand as they head to the river.

🌊 River – 5s: Another 5 on the river double pairs the board. Dwan checks with his pair of tens. Doug is now playing the board with aces and fives and a ten kicker and can only win by betting. Will the former number 1 heads-up player in the world attempt to bluff Durrrr out of this pot, or will he check back and give up? Stay tuned to the end of this poker video to find out.

WPH #524: Will POCKET ACES Lose Over $500,000????

Linus Loeliger is one of the most feared cash game players in the world have consistently dominated the highest stakes both online and in the live arena. In this hand, we follow the action from Loeliger’s opponent Handz’s point of view. Handz chooses to slow-play the best Texas Hold’em starting hand, but he finds himself in a tough spot with pocket aces after Loeliger unloads the clip. Will Handz’s sneaky play work out well for him, or will his aces get cracked?

When you are deciding whether to slow play pocket aces, it is advised to do so when the stack-to-pot ratio is shallower. This keeps your opponents’ bluffs in and ensures that you are unlikely to fold on almost any flop. It also helps keep your range balanced, as you are not only calling with medium-strength hands but also with the strongest preflop hand in poker.

Linus Loeliger ‘LLinusLLove’ is a professional poker player from Switzerland. He has over $7,600,000 in live tournament earnings putting him in the top 200 on the all-time money list. His biggest cash of $3,900,000 came at the 2022 $200,000 No Limit Hold’em – Coin Rivet Invitational, during Triton Cyprus he finished runner-up to PokerStars sponsored professional Sam Grafton ‘SamSquid’. Elton Tsang calls from the big blind with pocket sixes and Linus Loeliger 3-bet squeezes from the straddle to $50,000 with a mystery hand. 💸 Flop – Qs Jh 5d: Loeliger is first to act and fires out a continuation bet of $40,000 with his unknown hand. Handz just calls with an overpair and a backdoor straight draw to Broadway. Tsang, with his pair of sixes now has third pair after two overcards appear on the flop correctly finds the fold. Loeliger and Handz head to the turn heads-up.

💣 Turn – Tc: The ten of clubs on the turn doesn’t introduce any backdoor flush draws, but it does bring in some straights. Loeliger continues with a second barrel of $75,000. Handz picks up a backdoor straight draw and has blockers to ace-king for the nuts. He calls, and they head to the river with almost $400,000 in the pot.

🌊 River – 5s: A board-pairing five of spades on the river doesn’t slow Loeliger down. He moves all-in for $202,000 with his mystery hand. WPH #523: HELLMUTH is STUNNED!!!!! [Blow-Up INCOMING!]

Receiving praise from one of the most decorated and well known poker legends could be a dream for many aspiring poker players. Streaming superstar Ninja finds himself on the receiving end of a rare Phil Hellmuth compliment after slow playing ace-king in a massive pot against fan favorite Alan Keating. But does Ninja’s trap win him the pot as well as Hellmuth’s accolades?

When playing against opponents who you perceive to be weak and passive , it can often be a good play to isolate them with big raises from the blinds with some speculative holdings. Recreational players usually limp their weak hands and raise with their strong hands, this allows you to play very straightforwardly against them by exploiting them whenever they show weakness.

Alan Keating is a well known cash game player often playing in the biggest live cash games and private games around the world, he has become more of a regular on the Hustler Casino Live stream. He has become extremely popular amongst poker fans partly due to the fact that he wins and loses millions of dollars always carrying a smile on his face! Since 2019 Alan has played in over 25 live streamed cash games and is down over $3,200,000. He is currently in the top 5 for amount lost in live streamed cash games.

Richard Tyler Blevins or better known as Ninja, is a 32 year old American online streamer, YouTuber and professional gamer. Ninja began streaming as a competitive Halo 3 player. His momentum grew dramatically when he switched to playing Fortnite Battle Royale in late 2017. He has the most followed Twitch channel with over 19,000,000 followers & currently has over 23,900,000 YouTube subscribers.

Hustler Casino Live is a full-scale, high-value poker production. This special creator’s game featured the likes of Mr Beast, Ninja, Ludwig, XQC, Alexandra Botez, Tom Dwan, and Phil Hellmuth.

🔍 Preflop: With a $400 straddle on, MrBeast limps in from under-the-gun+2 with 62 of hearts. Tom Dwan calls from the hijack with 85o. xQc calls from the cutoff with A2o. Winner of 17 World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelets, Phil Hellmuth calls from the button with J8o. Ninja is in the small blind with AKo and chooses to call rather than raise. This brings in Alexandra Botez with T7 of clubs before Alan Keating raises to $7,400 with 76o from the under the gun straddle. This forces folds from MrBeast, Tom Dwan, xQc and Phil Hellmuth. When it gets back to Ninja in the small blind, he just calls the raise before Alexandra Botez folds her suited two-gapper, and two of them head to the flop.

💸 Flop – Ac Qh 6s: Ninja flops top pair top kicker with big slick. He checks, and Alan Keating fires out a continuation bet of $3,000 with just bottom pair. Ninja instantly check-raises to $10,000, much to the amusement of the other players. Keating, who never fears playing a huge pot, sticks around with a call.

💣 Turn – 8d: The 8 of diamonds on the turn doesn’t improve either player. Ninja checks again, perhaps hoping Keating will fall for the trap and continue bluffing. But will Keating go for an audacious bluff after another overcard appears to his pair of sixes, or will he sniff out Ninja’s tricks and check back to see a free river? Stay tuned for this entire poker hand to see what Keating will do!

WPH #522: Another PUNT By Rampage Poker???

Rampage Poker can’t help himself from blasting away whenever he senses weakness from his opponents. Whilst playing in a cash game at The Wynn, Rampage finds himself overbetting the river with a blocker to the nuts. Will he get away with it, or will he get his hand caught in the cookie jar and add another epic punt to his resume?

You should use overbets as one of your bet sizes for bluffs and strong value hands. When your opponents face overbets, they are put in uncomfortable and tricky situations that they are not used to. They have to risk a lot compared to what they usually face in their normal games, where people generally bet much smaller.

Ethan Yau, a.k.a Rampage, is a popular YouTuber and poker player. He has over 300,000 subscribers on YouTube and has won over $2,400,000 in tournament earnings, including a $900,000 win in a 2022 World Poker Tour (WPT) High Roller at the Wynn.

The Wynn Las Vegas is a luxury resort and casino on the Las Vegas Strip in Las Vegas, USA. It was opened in April 2005 and is named after its developer, Steve Wynn. The casino is known for its high-end amenities, exquisite design, and a focus on providing a luxurious experience for its guests.

The Wynn Poker Room is well-known for its upscale atmosphere, providing a great poker experience for all poker players. The poker room at The Wynn offers a variety of poker cash games and poker tournaments, with different stakes to cater to all poker players.

The WPT World Championship Festival usually takes place at the end of the calendar year and brings out many great players such as Phil Ivey, Dan Cates, Mikita Badziakouski, Dan Smith, Isaac Haxton, Brad Owen, Andrew Lichtenberger ‘LuckyChewy’, Chris Moorman ‘Moorman1’, Ben Heath, Daniel Sepiol, Artur Martirosian, Ren Lin, Kristen Foxen, Alex Foxen, Joe Cada, and many more.

🔍 Preflop: With blinds at $20/$40 the Villain opens to $100 from the Hijack. Rampage Poker calls with ATo from the big blind and they head to the flop.

💸 Flop – Qc Jd 5d: The queen-high two diamond flop gives Rampage a gutshot straight draw to broadway. He checks and the villain fires a continuation bet of $150 and Rampage makes the call with ace-high and his draw to the nuts.

💣 Turn – 8h: The 8 of hearts on the turn now upgrades Rampage’s hand to a double gutshot straight draw, as any nine or king will give him a straight. He checks and faces a second barrel of $260 from his opponent. This time Rampage check-raises to $1,000 using his ten blocker to represent the nut straight, whilst still having some equity if he does get called. His opponent makes the call, and they head to the river.

🌊 River – 3c: The 3 of clubs on the river is a total brick for Rampage who misses his double belly-buster straight draw and is left with just ace-high. As we all know, Rampage isn’t one to give up on a bluff and he fires an overbet of $3,300 into a pot of around $2,500. Will his opponent make the call, or will Rampage get away with another monstrous bluff? Stick around to the end of this poker video to find out!

WPH #521: When Poker Players Go CRAZY!!!!!!

Big Slick, Anna Kournikova, or just plain old ace-king can be one of the hardest hands to play when deep-stacked and out of position. Brown Balla found himself in this exact spot after he had just called a 5-bet out of position during a high stakes cash game at The Lodge Card Club. But the high stakes regular had some tricks up his sleeve after bricking the flop and turn. Can he find a way to win with just ace high?

When you are playing extremely deep-stacked poker, your 5-betting range should primarily consist of pocket aces and low-suited aces. In order to balance your range you want to make sure that you have some bluffs that block your opponent from having the nuts as well as having the nuts yourself!

Brown Balla whose real name is Eshaan Bhalla, has played only a handful of times on The Lodge Poker live stream. He is often seen on the Hustler Casino Live stream and is willing to play any stakes. He has over $550,000 in live tournament earnings with his biggest cash of $171,874 coming at the 2023 World Series Of Poker (WSOP), where he came 4th in the $3,000 No-Limit Hold’em 6-Max event.

Alex Jauregui who has previously appeared as “”Alp””, is a high stakes poker player from America who frequently participates on The Lodge Poker live stream at any stakes. He has over $690,000 in live tournament earnings. Alex is up over $670,000 from live streamed cash games in over 20 sessions.

🔍 Preflop: Brown Balla raises to $500 with AK of spades from under-the-gun. Alex 3-bets to $1,500 from the lojack with A4 of diamonds. Nik Airball calls from the hijack with 76 of clubs, and Tricktime calls from the cutoff with 87 of spades. After the button and blinds fold, Brown Balla decides to 4-bet to $8,500 with his big slick. Alex then puts in the rare 5-bet to $21,500 with a game theory optimal (GTO) approved hand. Nik Airball and Tricktime fold their suited connectors before Brown Balla calls, and they head to the flop.

💸 Flop – Ts 9c 7d: The ten-high board misses both players’ suited aces. Brown Balla remains ahead with a backdoor straight draw and backdoor nut flush draw. He checks to the preflop aggressor, Alex, who puts out a continuation bet of $20,000 with just a backdoor flush draw. Brown Balla seems to think his ace-king, a.k.a Anna Kournikova, might still be good as he makes the call, and they head to the turn.

💣 Turn – 8h: The 8 of hearts on the turn completes the badugi board and puts a four-liner to a straight out. Meaning, any player holding a seven or jack would make a straight. Brown Balla seems to think he has more straights in his range as he leads out for a tiny bet of $18,000. Alex doesn’t believe him though as he puts in a min-raise to $36,000 with a worse ace-high. How will Brown Balla respond to this, will he fold with no pair or draw, will he call to see a river, or will he go do something only an insane poker player would do and decide to raise? Stick around to the end of this poker video to find out!
