WPH #522: Another PUNT By Rampage Poker???

Rampage Poker can’t help himself from blasting away whenever he senses weakness from his opponents. Whilst playing in a cash game at The Wynn, Rampage finds himself overbetting the river with a blocker to the nuts. Will he get away with it, or will he get his hand caught in the cookie jar and add another epic punt to his resume?

You should use overbets as one of your bet sizes for bluffs and strong value hands. When your opponents face overbets, they are put in uncomfortable and tricky situations that they are not used to. They have to risk a lot compared to what they usually face in their normal games, where people generally bet much smaller.

Ethan Yau, a.k.a Rampage, is a popular YouTuber and poker player. He has over 300,000 subscribers on YouTube and has won over $2,400,000 in tournament earnings, including a $900,000 win in a 2022 World Poker Tour (WPT) High Roller at the Wynn.

The Wynn Las Vegas is a luxury resort and casino on the Las Vegas Strip in Las Vegas, USA. It was opened in April 2005 and is named after its developer, Steve Wynn. The casino is known for its high-end amenities, exquisite design, and a focus on providing a luxurious experience for its guests.

The Wynn Poker Room is well-known for its upscale atmosphere, providing a great poker experience for all poker players. The poker room at The Wynn offers a variety of poker cash games and poker tournaments, with different stakes to cater to all poker players.

The WPT World Championship Festival usually takes place at the end of the calendar year and brings out many great players such as Phil Ivey, Dan Cates, Mikita Badziakouski, Dan Smith, Isaac Haxton, Brad Owen, Andrew Lichtenberger ‘LuckyChewy’, Chris Moorman ‘Moorman1’, Ben Heath, Daniel Sepiol, Artur Martirosian, Ren Lin, Kristen Foxen, Alex Foxen, Joe Cada, and many more.

🔍 Preflop: With blinds at $20/$40 the Villain opens to $100 from the Hijack. Rampage Poker calls with ATo from the big blind and they head to the flop.

💸 Flop – Qc Jd 5d: The queen-high two diamond flop gives Rampage a gutshot straight draw to broadway. He checks and the villain fires a continuation bet of $150 and Rampage makes the call with ace-high and his draw to the nuts.

💣 Turn – 8h: The 8 of hearts on the turn now upgrades Rampage’s hand to a double gutshot straight draw, as any nine or king will give him a straight. He checks and faces a second barrel of $260 from his opponent. This time Rampage check-raises to $1,000 using his ten blocker to represent the nut straight, whilst still having some equity if he does get called. His opponent makes the call, and they head to the river.

🌊 River – 3c: The 3 of clubs on the river is a total brick for Rampage who misses his double belly-buster straight draw and is left with just ace-high. As we all know, Rampage isn’t one to give up on a bluff and he fires an overbet of $3,300 into a pot of around $2,500. Will his opponent make the call, or will Rampage get away with another monstrous bluff? Stick around to the end of this poker video to find out!

WPH #521: When Poker Players Go CRAZY!!!!!!

Big Slick, Anna Kournikova, or just plain old ace-king can be one of the hardest hands to play when deep-stacked and out of position. Brown Balla found himself in this exact spot after he had just called a 5-bet out of position during a high stakes cash game at The Lodge Card Club. But the high stakes regular had some tricks up his sleeve after bricking the flop and turn. Can he find a way to win with just ace high?

When you are playing extremely deep-stacked poker, your 5-betting range should primarily consist of pocket aces and low-suited aces. In order to balance your range you want to make sure that you have some bluffs that block your opponent from having the nuts as well as having the nuts yourself!

Brown Balla whose real name is Eshaan Bhalla, has played only a handful of times on The Lodge Poker live stream. He is often seen on the Hustler Casino Live stream and is willing to play any stakes. He has over $550,000 in live tournament earnings with his biggest cash of $171,874 coming at the 2023 World Series Of Poker (WSOP), where he came 4th in the $3,000 No-Limit Hold’em 6-Max event.

Alex Jauregui who has previously appeared as “”Alp””, is a high stakes poker player from America who frequently participates on The Lodge Poker live stream at any stakes. He has over $690,000 in live tournament earnings. Alex is up over $670,000 from live streamed cash games in over 20 sessions.

In early 2022, poker professionals Doug Polk, Brad Owen, and Andrew Neeme joined forces to acquire a controlling stake in The Lodge Poker Club & Card Room, which happens to be the largest poker establishment in Austin, Texas. This exclusive poker club, accessible only to its members, boasts an impressive array of amenities, including over 80 poker tables of cash games and tournaments, operating around-the-clock. Additionally, The Lodge provides an inviting ambiance with 40 large-screen TVs, allowing poker club members to enjoy sports entertainment while playing poker or while relaxing in the cozy waiting area. The live poker stream includes commentary from Skull Mike and Slick Rick, who have been long-time regulars at The Lodge. They provide viewers with strategic insights, complemented by a perfect blend of humor.

The Lodge Live Stream has had a variety of different poker players coming to play on stream, these include; Doug Polk ‘WCGRider’, Alex Foxen, Dan Cates ‘Jungleman’, Ben Lamb, Bill Perkins, Brad Owen, Andrew Neeme, and Nik Airball.

🔍 Preflop: Brown Balla raises to $500 with AK of spades from under-the-gun. Alex 3-bets to $1,500 from the lojack with A4 of diamonds. Nik Airball calls from the hijack with 76 of clubs, and Tricktime calls from the cutoff with 87 of spades. After the button and blinds fold, Brown Balla decides to 4-bet to $8,500 with his big slick. Alex then puts in the rare 5-bet to $21,500 with a game theory optimal (GTO) approved hand. Nik Airball and Tricktime fold their suited connectors before Brown Balla calls, and they head to the flop.

💸 Flop – Ts 9c 7d: The ten-high board misses both players’ suited aces. Brown Balla remains ahead with a backdoor straight draw and backdoor nut flush draw. He checks to the preflop aggressor, Alex, who puts out a continuation bet of $20,000 with just a backdoor flush draw. Brown Balla seems to think his ace-king, a.k.a Anna Kournikova, might still be good as he makes the call, and they head to the turn.

💣 Turn – 8h: The 8 of hearts on the turn completes the badugi board and puts a four-liner to a straight out. Meaning, any player holding a seven or jack would make a straight. Brown Balla seems to think he has more straights in his range as he leads out for a tiny bet of $18,000. Alex doesn’t believe him though as he puts in a min-raise to $36,000 with a worse ace-high. How will Brown Balla respond to this, will he fold with no pair or draw, will he call to see a river, or will he go do something only an insane poker player would do and decide to raise? Stick around to the end of this poker video to find out!

WPH #520: He Wins €1,000,000 & HUMILIATES Him!

Tony G, one of the initial CoinPoker founders, has never been scared to tussle with the best poker players in the world whether it be in tournaments or cash games. Whilst playing in a Triton Poker cash game, the usually loud-mouthed amateur was silenced after poker professional Mikita Badziakouski raised to a whopping €400,000 as a bluff. An over-the-top celebration could possibly follow if Tony G is able to find this miraculous hero call!

When playing multi-way pots, you should generally play tighter post-flop. In multi-way situations after there is a bet and a call on the flop or the turn, someone is likely to have a strong hand. This forces you to proceed only with the top of your range or very high equity draws. Hands such as second pair or very weak top pairs have to be folded more frequently.

Antanas Guoga or, more commonly known as Tony G is a Lithuanian-Australian businessman and also a part-time professional poker player. Tony G has played on many live poker streams throughout the years such as: Poker After Dark, High Stakes Poker, The Big Game, and many more. He is known for his theatrics at the table and over the top celebrations. His most famous quote is “On Your Bike” when he stacks an opponent.

Mikita Badziakouski or ‘fish2013’ as he is known online, is a professional poker player from Belarus. He has over $50,800,000 in live tournament earnings, putting him in the top 7 on the all-time money list. His biggest cash of $7,114,500 came at the 2023 World Poker Tour – WPT World Championship at the Wynn Las Vegas, in the $1,000,000 buy-in Big One for One Drop event.

Isaac Haxton or ‘philivey2694′ as he is known online, is a professional poker player from America. He has over $47,000,000 in live tournament earnings, putting him in the top 8 on the all-time money list. His biggest cash of $3,672,000 came at the $300,000 buy-in 2018 Super High Roller Bowl in Las Vegas. He also won this event 5 years later in 2023 for over $2,760,000. He has 1 World Series Of Poker (WSOP) bracelet that came in 2023, from the $25,000 No-Limit Hold’em High Roller 8-Max event.

Triton Poker was founded in 2015 by Paul Phua and Richard Yong; their aim was to attract a healthy mixture of recreational poker players and seasoned poker professionals. Part of what makes the Triton Series so special is that it’s open to a wide range of poker players – not just a select few. They envisioned Triton as a series of poker events providing excellent entertainment value for audiences passionate about poker. Some of the most famous poker players to have appeared at Triton events have been Phil Ivey ‘RaiseOnce’, Tom Dwan ‘Durrr’, Patrick Antonius ‘The Finn’, Michael Addamo ‘imluckbox’, Chris Brewer, Jason Koon ‘JAKoon1985’, Tony G, Dan Cates ‘Jungleman’, Doug Polk ‘WCGRider’, Stephen Chidwick ‘stevie444’, Linus Loeliger ‘LLinusLLove’, Isaac Haxton ‘philivey2694’, Mikita Badziakouski ‘fish2013’, Timofey Kuznetsov ‘Trueteller’ and many more.

🔍 Preflop: In the final hand of this high-stakes cash game, Tony G raises from the small blind to €22,000 with K9o. Isaac Haxton calls out of the big blind with JTo. Mikita Badziakouski calls from the under-the-gun straddle with Q7o, and they head to the flop three-way.

💸 Flop – Kh Js 7c: Tony G flops top pair and fires out a continuation bet of €20,000. Haxton calls with his second pair, and Badziakouski calls with his bottom pair.

💣 Turn – 2d: The 2 of diamonds on the turn doesn’t improve anyone, meaning Tony G still has the best hand with his pair of kings. He fires a second barrel of €70,000 into the two high-stakes tournament poker professionals. Haxton correctly folds his pair of jacks, but Badziakouski sticks around with his pair of sevens, and they head to the river.

🌊 River – 8d: The 8 of diamonds river completes a possible straight draw, but this doesn’t deter Tony G, who puts out a bet of €120,000. Badziakouski, holding fourth pair, decides to represent that straight by raising to a staggering €400,000. Tony G hasn’t said a word during this hand, but if he finds this hero-call with just top pair, surely we will hear an ecstatic celebration from the amateur poker player. Will he make the call holding a blocker to the nuts, or will the online poker wizard fish2013 get the bluff through? Stay tuned to find out.

WPH #519: A RARE Poker Situation [Can He FOLD???]

Seth Davies is no stranger to huge final tables against the best players in the world. But he found himself in a rather unique spot on the river with just half a big blind left in his stack when Jonathan Little bet enough to put him all-in.

Thinking about ICM (Independent Chip Model) is crucial during final tables. When someone at the table is extremely short-stacked and you are second or third in chips you should look to play more defensively. If you are facing a raise from the chip leader, you should play more passively with hands like Ace-King, which you would typically choose to 3-bet with. You want to avoid busting before the shortest stack at the table so your strategy needs to adapt accordingly.

Jonathan Little ‘FieryJustice’, ’Jcardshark’, ‘JonLittle’ is in the top 150 on the all time money list with over $8,900,000 in total live earnings. He has 2 World Poker Tour (WPT) titles, both of which were for over $1,000,000. He won the WPT Season VI (2007-2008) Player of the Year award. Jonathan is a 38 year old professional poker player from the U.S.A. He is also the founder of PokerCoaching.com.

Seth Davies is a professional poker player from the U.S.A. with over $23,500,000 in live tournament earnings, putting him in the top 35 on the all time money list. His biggest cash of $1,078,347 came in the 2023 $100,000 buy-in Pokerstars Caribbean Adventure (PCA) in Nassau. Davies has 1 World Poker Tour (WPT) title, he won the C$3,500 No Limit Hold’em WPT Canadian Spring Championship, Kahnawake in 2016. In 2022 he won a European Poker Tour (EPT) event in Monte Carlo to earn his first EPT title. Justin Zaki is a professional poker player from the U.S.A. with over $5,300,000 in live tournament earnings, putting him in the top 330 on the all time money list.

The 2024 PokerGo Cup was a series of eight No-Limit Hold’em poker tournaments with buy-ins ranging from $10,000 – $25,000 played from January 25 to February 3, 2024 and held inside the PokerGO Studio at ARIA Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada.

$25,000 – 2024 PokerGO Cup Event #8 – Results

1st: Jonathan Little U.S.A – $453,750 2nd: Justin Zaki – U.S.A – $288,750 3rd: Justin Saliba ‘Jsaliba2’ ‘JustGTO’ – U.S.A – $192,500 4th: John Riordan – U.S.A – $137,500 5th: Seth Davies – U.S.A – $110,000 6th: Shaniel Stokes – U.S.A – $82,500

🔍 Preflop: With blinds at 25,000/50,000 and a 50,000 big blind ante, Justin Zaki, the chip leader at this final table, raises from the hijack to 120,000 with A6 of spades. Jonathan Little opts to call rather than 3-bet with AKo in the cutoff. After the button and small blind fold, the action is on Seth Davies in the big blind with A9o. He calls with only 20,000 chips remaining, and they head to the flop three-way.

💸 Flop – Th 7d 5d: The ten-high, two-diamond board misses everyone, and Little remains ahead with Big Slick. All three poker professionals check, and they head to the turn.

💣 Turn – Qd: The Q of diamonds on the turn doesn’t improve Davies, who checks with ace-high. Zaki, who didn’t hit a pair or pick up a backdoor straight draw, decides not to put in a delayed continuation bet as he follows suit with another check. Little now has a gutshot straight draw and a king-high backdoor flush draw, as well as still having the best hand with ace-king high. He continues to take the passive route & checks as they head to the river.

🌊 River -Kc: The K of clubs on the river sees Davies check for a third and final time, likely hoping to get to showdown with his ace-high. Zaki also checks with ace-high and a worse kicker. Little has improved to a pair of kings on the river and fires out a small value bet of 150,000. Davies is visibly distressed as to how to proceed with less than half a big blind remaining. But will he call, getting unbelievably good pot odds, or will he fold and be left with a chip and a chair? Stay tuned to the end of this poker video to find out!
