Dave O comes across as a fairly loose player, but could he have been slow playing/trapping with KK in this position?

Once Robert showed his friends the cards did he have to fold or could he still have called?

This seemed a like a show of weakness in itself, and perhaps Dave O had pickedup similar tells from previous hands and thought he could push Robert off his bigger Queen.
