Join us for an electrifying journey as Brad Owen faces off against one of his Lodge Co-owners, Doug Polk! Both players are incredibly deep stacked (over 900bb effective stacks!) but that won’t stop them putting ALL OF THEIR CHIPS INTO THE MIDDLE!! In this video, I break down various levels on poker strategy involved throughout the hand, such as how to construct ranges when incredibly deep-stacked, avoiding levelling yourself against certain players, and even when to go all-in on the river 🤯

Will Brad scoop a gigantic pot with pocket rockets? Watch to the end to find out!

☢️ Preflop: We’re playing $5/$5 with a $5 big blind ante. Facing an early position raise of $15, Brad Owen bumps it up from the hijack seat to $50 with pocket rockets (A♣A♥). Doug Polk on the button, 4-bets to $135. Brad opts to 5-bet to $350 and Doug Polk just calls

🔥 Flop: J♣ 5♠ 3♥ Brad continues his aggressive line on this flop and bets out $250! Facing the ~1/3rd pot bet, Doug opts to call and we see a turn.

💖 Turn: 8♥ The turn card brings in one of the backdoor flush draws, Brad Owen, holding the Ace of Hearts doesn’t fear the draws, he bets $825 into the $1,230 pot! Doug Polk, considers his options, and ultimately makes the call.

💔 River: 3♣ The river card pairs the board and bricks out the backdoor flush draw. Brad thinks carefully about his opponent’s range, and what sort of hands he will make it to the river with, he ultimately decides to SHOVE ALL-IN! Doug Polk, says haha, I tricked you, and snap calls with pocket jacks (Jiggities) winning him a very cool 1,864bb pot!

WPH #483: Rampage Poker With ACES In A HORRIBLE Spot!

Have you ever wanted to know how to play draws perfectly? Well look no further as Jonathan Little gives you everything that you will need to play straight draws & flush draws PERFECTLY!

It is important to remember that all flush draws and straight draws do NOT have the same value! Generally draws that have overcards to the board will have more equity, especially if your opponent has a marginal holding like a pair.

Flush & Straight draws are incredibly profitable hands if you play them correctly. Here are 3 quick tips to help you make the best possible decision when you have a draw:

1. Raise more often against small bets 2. Raise more often from out of position 3. Do NOT raise high equity draws that would have to fold to a re-raise

🔥 RAISE MORE OFTEN AGAINST SMALL BETS 🔥

Small bets will indicate frequent bets, this means that your opponent will be betting with a very wide range that cannot often face too much aggression. For this reason you should raise frequently to apply pressure to your opponent’s marginal hands. On the flip side, you should raise less often against large bets and you should actually fold more often when facing a larger bet size, especially with your worst draws.

🔥 RAISE MORE OFTEN FROM OUT OF POSITION 🔥

From in position, you will realize your equity well. From out of position, you won’t! Position is power in poker! Imagine playing a game of rock/papper/scissors and always getting to act last. You would win every single time! Poker isn’t as simple as this but it gives you a good idea on the importance of position.

🔥 Do NOT Raise/Fold Your High Equity Draws 🔥

Draws with decent equity that would have to fold to an all-in usually do not raise. It is a disaster when you have a lot of equity but are forced to fold to a huge raise size as you will often not be getting the correct price to mathematically call.

WPH #481: Chris Moneymaker CRUSHES This AMATEUR Poker Player!

Join Jonathan Little as he reviews a poker hand played by the legend himself and the reason for the 2003 poker boom! It’s Chris Moneymaker, yes that’s his real surname.

Jonathan discusses how it is important to know your preflop ranges so that you do not get into too many tricky spots! Playing a hand like JTo from early position facing an early position raise should be avoided! Jonathan also believes that Moneymaker’s call from the small blind with QTo is a little too lose due to it being a 3 blind game. Moneymaker now has 2 players to act behind him that could potentially squeeze him out of the pot.

When you are playing in multiway pots you do not want to use a large bet size because it indicates that you believe you have a range and/or nut advantage which is extremely hard when there are so many players in a pot.

Jonathan also breaks down the thought process that you should have on the river in a multiway pot when you hold the nuts. There are certain ways when playing out of position that you can maximize your earnings. In this particular instance Jonathan completely agrees with Moneymakers check on the river as he is likely to make more money this way rather than if he were to lead.

Chris Moneymaker, is an American professional poker player. He won the 2003 WSOP Main Event for $2,500,000, and is seen by many as the reason for the poker boom which saw many people all over the world start to play poker. He has $6,152,000 in live tournament earnings putting him 251st in the world rankings. Jibrael Hindi is introducted an amateur poker player from America. He is a lawyer and professional bodybuilder.

This week on Hustler Casino Live was advertised as ‘Moneymaker Week’ as it was his debut on the stream. Moneymaker was scheduled to play around 3 days of live streams. But he ended up getting too intoxicated during the first game which resulted in him not playing on the stream again that week. Other notable poker players on the stream were Johnnie Vibes, Alec Torreli, Mariano, & Rob Kuhn.

This high stakes poker hand took place during the ‘Moneymaker Week’ hosted by the Hustler Casino Live poker room. The blinds were at $25/$50/$100 with a $100 Big Blind Ante.

🃏 Hand Highlights: Rob (UTG+1) kicks off the action raising with AdKh, next to act Jibrael decides to call with JsTc, legendary Chris Moneymaker calls with QdTh from the small blind, and popular poker vlogger Johnnie Vibes completes from the big blind with A5hh, so no squeezing this time.

💥 The Flop: Jh 9c 4d The flop misses the original raiser who decides to check. Jibrael seizes his opportunity with top pair and decides to bet $500. Moneymaker calls with his open ended straight draw and Vibes calls with his backdoor flush and straight draws. Rob also decides to make a questionable call with his two over cards and potential backdoor straight draw.

🔥 The Turn: 8s The turn is the gin card for Moneymaker as he hits his straight, unfortunately for him both Vibes and Jibrael check behind.

🚀 The River: 7h The river card now brings 4 to a straight which is great news for Moneymaker as he has the nut straight! Moneymaker sets the trap once again and checks only for Rob with just ace high to make a $2,200 bet! Jibrael decides to make an interesting call and not a raise with his straight. This is where Moneymaker springs into action with a huge raise to $10,000. Vibes and Rob make the easy fold but Jibrael now has a huge decision, he only loses to one hand! He does eventually make the call and is shown the bad news as Moneymaker turns over the nut straight. With the river card on the table, Moneymaker checks, Vibes checks, and Rob makes a $2,200 bet. Jibrael decides to call, but here comes the twist – Moneymaker springs into action with a raise to $10,000! Vibes folds, Rob folds, and Jibrael makes the bold decision to call all-in.

WPH #480: $583,000 All-In With 9 HIGH????????

Could you imagine shoving $583,000 into the middle with just nine high? Well be sure to watch this video from PokerGO’s No Gamble No Future as that is exactly what Andrew Robl does. Can he make millionaire businessman Rob Yong fold?!

Jonathan discusses which types of hands you should use when deciding to 4-bet bluff. Generally you want to have cards that will block your opponent’s continuing range such as an ace or a king. Jonathan agrees that Robl’s call with KJ suited is fine considering that he is in position and they are both extremely deep.

Robl should be checking this flop frequently due to having two callers and how dynamic it is. He has equity to hit a very strong hand and he does not want to get blown off it by facing a raise and further aggression.

Robl’s shove on the turn is a huge bet but Jonathan dissects exactly why he decided to use such a large size. If he were to go smaller then Yong is the kind of player that will likely call at least one more which is not ideal when you have 9 high out of position! It is important to make sure that you balance this shoving range with very strong hands otherwise you become too predictible to having bluffs or draws when you use large bet or raise sizes.

This high stakes poker hand took place in Las Vegas at the prestigious PokerGO Studio as part of their “”No Gamble, No Future”” cash game series. This particular cash game had a minimum $500,000 buy-in, with blinds at $500/$1000 with a $1,000 Big Blind Ante. Old school poker legend Andrew ‘good2cu’ Robl takes on Dusk Till Dawn owner and entrepreneur Rob Yong.

🃏 Preflop: Andrew Robl opens from the lojack with 97dd, but Rob Yong on the button decides to bump it up with a 3-bet to $10,000 with KJdd. Eric Persson and Markus Gonsalves make a non standard cold call in the small and big blinds before Robl opts to 4-bet to $40,000. Yong calls on the button, Persson folds the small blind and Gonsalves decides to call completing the action in the big blind with 65ss.

💥 The Flop: Qc Tc 8d The flop is a spicy one as it gives both Robl and Yong open ended straight draws although Gonsalves has completely missed. This very dymanic flop slows down the action as all three players decide to check.

🔥 The Turn: 2d This 2nd diamond on the turn is where the fireworks start. Now both Yong and Robl have huge combo draws with straight and flush draws. Gonsalves checks with his air, Robl checks with his monster draw but Yong now wants the pot and decides to bet $60,000. Gonsalves makes the easy fold before Robl decides to shove his entire stack over the line for $583,000! Yong is now in the world of pain and has no idea that he actually has the best hand. Ultimately he does decide to let it go only to be shown the 97dd by Robl.

WPH #478: Brad Owen Has ALL THE LADIES!

Joint Jonathan Little as he reviews a hand that popular poker vlogger Brad Owen plays in a $2/$5/$10 live cash game where he flops a set and rivers quads! Can he find a way to get maximum value?

Jonathan discusses the range of hands that opponents tend to have when they donk lead into multiple opponents. They usually either have a pretty good made hand or some kind of draw. In this particular hand Brad Owen blocks a lot of the top pairs as he has hit top set, so this generally will weight his opponents more towards draws.

Brad talks about how he is not too concerned about the short stack small blind but is much more interested in stacking the other opponent who has a similar deep stack. Jonathan agrees that this should be your thought process when at the table, look to win the large pots off the players that are playing deep and don’t worry if you double up a few short stacks!

Generally you want to play more passively and call with top sets and choose to raise your bottom sets. This is because when you have top set you will be blocking some of the strong hands that you want your opponent to have, like top pair. Bottom set unblocks the strong top pairs that can call a raise.

This poker hand took place in the Beau Rivage Resort & Casino in Mississippi, USA. The stakes were $2/$5/$10 with the effective stack at $3,000.

It starts with a raise from UTG+2 who has pocket kings which picks up a call from MP but Brad who is sat on the button with pocket queens decides to bump it up and raises to $100. The small blind makes a very non standard cold call with ace king of hearts and the original raiser also makes a very non standard call with their pocket kings. MP who is now getting a great price decides to complete as well.

4 players head to a flop of Qh 6h 3s giving Brad Owen a beautiful top set! Even more so when UTG+2 decides to lead into the pot for $200. Brad calls and the small blind who only has $130 behind decides to gamble with his nut flush draw and calls it off.

The 2h on the turn spells disaster for Brad Owen in the main pot as he is now losing to the small blinds turned flush. However, there is still plenty of value to be made from UTG+2 who still has a strong overpair! This turn card does not slow down Brad’s opponent as he fires another bet to the tune of $300. Brad makes another easy call as the pot escalates to $1,535.

The river is the dream card for Brad as it lands with the Qs giving him quads! This now slows down the villain as he checks. Brad takes the moment to bet for a pot sizee of $1,500. Frustrated with the run out Villain 1 folds, not realizing that the river card actually saved him a lot of money! The small blind is heart broken when he turns over his hand thinking he has the winner!
