Receiving praise from one of the most decorated and well known poker legends could be a dream for many aspiring poker players. Streaming superstar Ninja finds himself on the receiving end of a rare Phil Hellmuth compliment after slow playing ace-king in a massive pot against fan favorite Alan Keating. But does Ninja’s trap win him the pot as well as Hellmuth’s accolades?
When playing against opponents who you perceive to be weak and passive , it can often be a good play to isolate them with big raises from the blinds with some speculative holdings. Recreational players usually limp their weak hands and raise with their strong hands, this allows you to play very straightforwardly against them by exploiting them whenever they show weakness.

This special creator’s game featured the likes of Mr Beast, Ninja, Ludwig, XQC, Alexandra Botez, Tom Dwan, and Phil Hellmuth.
🔍 Preflop:
With a $400 straddle on, MrBeast limps in from under-the-gun+2 with 62 of hearts. Tom Dwan calls from the hijack with 85o. xQc calls from the cutoff with A2o. Winner of 17 World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelets, Phil Hellmuth calls from the button with J8o. Ninja is in the small blind with AKo and chooses to call rather than raise. This brings in Alexandra Botez with T7 of clubs before Alan Keating raises to $7,400 with 76o from the under the gun straddle. This forces folds from MrBeast, Tom Dwan, xQc and Phil Hellmuth. When it gets back to Ninja in the small blind, he just calls the raise before Alexandra Botez folds her suited two-gapper, and two of them head to the flop.
💸 Flop – Ac Qh 6s:
Ninja flops top pair top kicker with big slick. He checks, and Alan Keating fires out a continuation bet of $3,000 with just bottom pair. Ninja instantly check-raises to $10,000, much to the amusement of the other players. Keating, who never fears playing a huge pot, sticks around with a call.
💣 Turn – 8d:
The 8 of diamonds on the turn doesn’t improve either player. Ninja checks again, perhaps hoping Keating will fall for the trap and continue bluffing. But will Keating go for an audacious bluff after another overcard appears to his pair of sixes, or will he sniff out Ninja’s tricks and check back to see a free river? Stay tuned for this entire poker hand to see what Keating will do!
